Complaints with allergic reactions

The symptoms of allergic reactions can range from conjunctivitis and eczema to asthma.

If an allergy or intolerance is not treated early, the symptoms and sensitivities are often likely to increase. Ask your doctor to refer you for an allergy test at the Allergy Center Vienna West.

Allergy complaints

Suspected symptoms of an allergy or intolerance are:

Eyes

repeated red, watery, itchy eyes (e.g. after contact with animals, in flowering meadows, in the morning); swelling of the eyes or eyelids

Nose

Runny, itchy nose and sneezing without a cold or a repeatedly blocked nose in the morning

Mouth

Lip swelling, swelling of the mouth

Ear

Ear infection, itchy ears, ringing in the ears or middle ear complaints

Neck

Difficulty swallowing, sore throat, sore throat, constant clearing of the throat

Cough

Irritation to cough (especially at night or in the morning)

Shortness of breath

Shortness of breath, breathing difficulties, whistling, wheezing on exertion in otherwise healthy patients

Nausea

Repeated diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence or abdominal pain after certain foods

Skin

unclear temporary itchy skin rashes, wheals or eczema

Insect bite

Severe reactions after insect bites, especially if they are not limited to the bite site (breathing difficulties, nausea, circulatory problems)
